Bright Young Things : 26th March Live Review
Live review of the BYT gig at the Crypt on the 26th March. Performing were Buzzkill, Last Night's TV, All Star 69ers, Mojo Pin.
This was the finale gig of this year's Bright Young Things organised by Leeds Leisure Services as another four bands showcased their music to a packed crowd at the Crypt.

The evenings entertainment was kicked off by Buzzkill, a rock and roll outfit assured to be one of the best local bands around. The band whos name was created from lyrics from a TV shows theme song, cite Green Day and Nirvana as influences.
Bassist Joe said "We enjoyed recording the CD and the gig went down really well." Buzzkill will this month set off on their first national tour supporting a New York swing band.

At 8.45 it was time for something completely different as Last Nights TV took to the stage with their new take on mellow sounds based around accoustic guitars, a violin and xylophone. With this being there biggest venue to date vocalist Natalie said "the help from the council has been amazing and being in a professional studio has been fun." As part of their performance the band projected a video and are now looking forward to approaching gigs in London and around Leeds.

Guitar based 80s influenced All Star 69 ers played several of their tracks with a mix of indie and poppy rock. As a result of an extremely tight schedule the band couldn't do a proper soundcheck but drummer Carl said "the events have been organised brilliantly and gives a lot of bands like us good publicity and more exposure."

The rock band were driven by lead singer Billy who burst into Jagger-esque mode at any moment.m He said "we hope that next years event will be much bigger as this is a great venue to play in. able to record CD with useful technical support.
